Jealousy. Jealousy. Jealousy.

Do you often doubt your partner’s loyalty? Do negative thoughts flood your head when he takes awhile in answering your calls or messages? Does jealousy frequently cause fights and arguments with your partner? Do you want to strengthen your trust in your relationship? Are you having problem of controlling jealousy?

When you are in a relationship and you have a strong feeling for your partner, being possessive is natural. Sometimes when you feel that something or someone is going to take your partner’s attention or affection away from you then you begin to be threatened. However when this possessiveness becomes too much and is already turning to unreasonable jealousy, your relationship will definitely suffer.

If you are not able to handle the challenge in controlling jealousy that leads to fights, the following advices will help you deal with your jealousy problem.

Advice #1: Build your Relationship with Trust: Trust is the main foundation in every relationship. It determines how you will be able to make your relationship survive from the different trials that you will encounter with your partner. When you trust in the sincerity of your partner then controlling jealousy is never an issue. The lack of this main ingredient in the recipe of love can bring a relationship to a sour state and eventually lead to splitsville.

Advice #2: Refrain from Accusing your Partner without Rational Basis: In controlling jealousy, knowing how to weigh things before making a judgment is important. It can make you see the situation clearly and in unbiased way. When you practice this in your relationship then unnecessary fights are avoided; therefore, the foundation of your relationship will not be ruined. When there is something that awakens your doubt then you have to open it up with your partner and give him a chance to explain his side; then you weigh the situation and his explanation. After you have pondered on the situation from different sides, you can already make your decision. When you apply this into your relationship, misunderstandings are prevented.

Advice #3: Do not Allow Insecurities to Invade your Relationship: Before you decide to enter a relationship with someone, you must deal with your self-insecurities first. Unreasonable jealousy happens when you do not have self-confidence. You are always afraid that your partner might meet someone better than you, leading to unfair accusations and doubts in your partner’s loyalty. When you believe in the good qualities that you possess, controlling jealousy is just easy. When you get rid of insecurities, you are able to nourish your relationship with your partner and achieve a happy and successful love life.

Advice #4: Be Open to your Partner: One of the many important factors that will aid you in controlling jealousy is by maintaining a good communication. When you share the things that bother or make you doubt yourself, your partner will be able to know more about you. It will make him express his feeling better and give you the assurance that you need. When there is good communication between you and your partner, there will be no room for jealousy.
